Intellectual Property Policy and Objectives of Management
Intellectual Property Management Measures
Patent Management
- Newly developed products should be labeled with the Nextron trademark on the surface using appropriate processing methods to prevent competitors from infringing on rights through improper means and to increase brand recognition.
- A patent search guide should be provided to help the research and development department query patent information owned by competitors.
Trademark Management
- Establish a process management method from product research and development to patent application, maintenance, and utilization to create a good research and development cycle. Products must go through examination and evaluation, and a reward system is established to encourage research and development units.
- Hold scheduled trademark meetings to review usage situations of applied trademarks, check for overlapping usage areas, and determine if continued maintenance is necessary.
Trade Secret Management
- Confidential Document Control: Set document confidentiality levels, confidentiality periods, and processing procedures for company trade secrets.
- Personnel Control: For confidential documents of different levels, set permissions for adding, modifying, and viewing. New employees shall sign confidentiality agreements upon entry.
- Environmental Facilities Control: Define controlled areas and plan control measures, and limit the activity range of customers and visitors.
Annual Performance Report
Patent Management
- Report Patent Case Status and Evaluate Regularly: Provide regular reports on the company's patent applications and maintenance records to review patent usage and layout, and determine whether maintenance should continue. Analyze each department's research and development capabilities.
- Perform Company-wide Self-assessment of Internal Controls: Take patent control records and patent law consultation records into the company's internal control self- assessment.
- Offer Non-infringement Statements: Provide technical support for infringement analysis and collaborate on defense when customers encounter patent issues based on approved patents.
Trademark Management
- Report Trademark Status and Evaluate Regularly: Provide routine updates on the company's trademark applications and maintenance records to evaluate the usage and determine whether maintenance should continue.
